Back in 2017, after being diagnosed with testicular cancer and needing chemotherapy, I promised myself that I would bounce back and somehow achieve the best physical shape of my life after the treatment. I set that goal for 5 years post diagnosis as that’s generally considered officially in remission.
I wanted a tangible goal and date, so I set myself the challenge of committing to a photoshoot in December 2021.
I knew that if I was going to achieve such a goal I would need the help of a coach. Larry’s approach to achieving high level fitness while also optimising general health was what appealed to me.
I can safely say that 5 years on, and at the age of 34, I have achieved the best physical fitness of my life all thanks to Larry’s help and guidance. When I started his coaching, I was at 18% body fat, energy levels were ok, mental clarity was ok, sleep was average, morning alertness was mostly groggy.
Six months after working with Larry & I’m at 9.5% body fat, energy levels through the roof, mental clarity is sharp as a knife, sleeping like a baby most nights, & I’m waking every morning without an alarm and feeling super.
Working with Larry has felt as much like an apprenticeship as it has coaching. I have learned tonnes & developed my knowledge of training and nutrition immensely.
If you are currently looking to take charge of your health then Larry is your guy. You’ve just got to commit, stay coachable, be willing to work hard, and prioritise recovery. And maybe don’t wait for a life threatening illness before you decide to fulfil your true potential!
